Rural county of Cumbria has a diverse and wide range of activities from cobbled villages, rolling mountains or taking a quiet gondola trip on one of the many lakes the county has to offer. LAKES, TARNS &WATERS
TOWNS & VILLAGES

Home to the English Lake District, Cumbria is a predominantly rural county, considered one of the most beautiful regions of the UK, and includes the whole array of Lakes, Waters. Tarns and Reservoirs the choice is endless.

The larger Lakes of Windermere, Ullswater, Coniston and Derwentwater offer boat trips covering the length of the lakes from gondolas to steam and paddle boats.

If your looking for a quieter experience head for the smaller lakes or tarns, you may even need to climb few hills to get there.

With over 3000 miles of public footpaths in the county you are never far away from a walk in the country. Many marked walks through Grizedale around lakes or coastline are all well worth a visit. Or is your looking for a little more adventure there are 214 Wainwrights to scale from the Old man of Coniston to Skafell Pike and beyond Cumbria is the ideal place to get outdoors.
