Newland Valley Log Cabins:

Quality self-catering holiday accommodation with a difference

Nestled on the edge of the Cumbrian national park, Newland Valley Log Cabins are three cozy, beautiful and traditionally built log cabins.

Damson  Pear Tree and Guardswood cabins enjoy a truly peaceful and tranquil location, yet are ideally situated to explore the Lake District. Set on a hillside, with panoramic views of the rolling hills and coastline, they offer an abundance of character and charm.

Boasting high quality self-catering accommodation with a comfortable, homely feel, the cabins have a split-level living area with wood burner, large dining area, well-equipped kitchen, two beautiful bedrooms, and exposed timbers throughout.

Thoughtful design and quality finishing touches combine to create a spacious yet wonderfully cozy atmosphere, equally suited to a romantic retreat or a family holiday.

Each cabin has a large terrace – ideal for al fresco dining or simply enjoying the view after a day spent exploring – and there are many walks from the doorstep. Ulverston is within walking distance, while the attractions of the beautiful Lake District national park are within easy reach.

Our Cabins

Damson, Pear Tree and Guardswood cabins combine the best of traditional building methods with high quality, modern comforts, and the environmental benefits of a solar combination heating system.

As well as helping them to blend in with the surrounding countryside, the green roofs help to insulate the cabins. The exterior walls are as thick as the logs used in construction, and this is another efficient way of insulating.

Natural products have been used during construction, where possible, including coir carpets, slate flooring and tiling, handmade wooden kitchens, and cast iron radiators and bath.
